*Tenants within the Sorayoka area will open in stages to help ease congestion in parking lots and on airport roads.

Sorayoka Park

Sorayoka Park, located in the center of the Sorayoka Area, will hold events mainly on weekends to encourage people to visit the airport. In addition to seasonal events, events are also planned to be held to promote destination areas, increase travel demand, and promote outbound travel.

There are also various attractions within the park, allowing you to have fun while feeling as if you are up close watching planes taking off and landing.

  • Monuments

    The monument, which is 2m high and 5m wide, is positioned so that visitors can enjoy taking commemorative photos with the planes taking off.

  • Symbol tree

    The camphor tree, the prefectural tree of Kumamoto, stretches its branches and leaves towards the sky, growing to watch over the park.

  • Kamado bench

    It is normally a bench, but in the event of a disaster, the seat can be removed and the stove can be pulled out for use as a cooking stove.

  • Blue Bee Mist Shower

    When you press the button, the mist will be sprayed for about one minute. The decoration is decorated with blue bees, which live in the Aso region and are affectionately known as "blue bees that bring happiness."

  • Tsukiyama

    This artificial hill is modeled after the beautiful conical shape of the "Yonezuka" mound in Aso.

  • Ceramic relief

    Akemi Takatsu's ceramic relief "Mountain God Above the Clouds," which was on display in the old passenger terminal building, has been relocated.
