Installation of vending machines to support the activities of "Special Olympics Nippon Kumamoto"
A vending machine for donations to support the activities of the certified non-profit organization "Special Olympics Nippon Kumamoto" has been installed next to the event space on the first floor of Aso Kumamoto Airport. A portion of the sales will be donated as support funds.
"Special Olympics Nippon Kumamoto" is an organization that provides sports training and opportunities to present achievements to people with intellectual disabilities. The installation of the donation vending machine is the ninth in the prefecture, and was made possible with the cooperation of Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan. The side of the vending machine is designed with a photo of an athlete.
On October 2nd, a signing ceremony for the agreement regarding the installation was held between Kumamoto International Airport, which operates Aso Kumamoto Airport, Special Olympics Nippon Kumamoto, and Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan.
Kumamoto International Airport, which advocates the promotion of the SDGs, is committed to "creating a place where diverse people can spend their time comfortably," and the installation of vending machines is one concrete initiative. At an airport where many people come and go every day, we hope to promote public understanding of the Special Olympics through the vending machines.
