Aso Kumamoto Airport new passenger terminal building opening date decided
Symbol of creative recovery from the Kumamoto earthquakes, to open on March 2023, 3

　Kumamoto International Airport Corporation (Headquarters: Mashiki Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture; President and CEO: Niihara Shohei) is pleased to announce that the start of service (= opening date) for the new passenger terminal building at Aso Kumamoto Airport, which has been under construction since January 2021, has been set for Thursday, March 1, 2023.

　The opening date has now been decided for the new passenger terminal building, which is being developed as an integrated domestic and international terminal. Details regarding the tenants of the new passenger terminal building will be announced approximately three months prior to the opening. In addition, we will continue to announce the opening of the plaza and commercial facilities open to the local community that will be developed on the site of the current international terminal building, which will be demolished after the new passenger terminal building opens to the public.
