Flower exhibition by students of Kikuchi Agricultural High School (September 2022)
Since 2001, Aso Kumamoto Airport has been exhibiting seasonal floral arrangements grown by students from agricultural-related schools in the prefecture.
When you use the airport, why not take a look down at your feet and enjoy the artwork created by high school students from Kumamoto?
The September exhibit features works by students from Kumamoto Prefectural Kikuchi Agricultural High School (petunias, portulaca, periwinkle, and ornamental chilies).
[Comments from students of Kikuchi Agricultural High School]
At Kikuchi Agricultural High School, we practice growing and selling flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees throughout the year. In the third year, students specialize in flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees, and study more specialized subjects. The flowers on display this time are four types: petunias, portulaca, periwinkle, and ornamental peppers. We are happy that so many people can see the flowers that we have been carefully cultivating. Flowers have the effect of making people who see them feel happy. We hope that many people who come to Kumamoto will see them, and that those who see them will feel happy, even just a little.
