With that in mind, I'd like to research and introduce various shops located at Aso Kumamoto Airport.

The store we'll be introducing today is...

 

This shop is located immediately to the right after you finish the security check!

This is "Koreto Kyushu Okinawa." Did you know that this store has a bar inside? The bar is called "THE BAR." 🍸

 

Just the word "bar" makes me excited about traveling, doesn't it? This time, I visited "Koretto Kyushu Okinawa," a place that also has a bar attached.

The store is filled with souvenirs from Kyushu and Okinawa, as well as many original products created specifically for the store.

For Hitomi, this was the one that caught my eye the most: "Higo Rokka Gateau Chocolat"

The chic packaging featuring Kumamoto Castle and Higo camellias gives it a truly stylish feel, making it a wonderful item that would be appreciated as a gift for someone special.

 

 

They also have store-exclusive items you can only buy here, such as Aso Mountain Baumkuchen, Kumamoto ramen, and Taiheien (a type of noodle dish). It's hard to choose! Which one should I get?

 

 

When I spoke to the store manager, he said, "We're creating this store with the image of a Kyushu product fair every day." Indeed, stepping inside, you can find souvenirs from every prefecture in Kyushu, and it really makes you feel like you're traveling.

Now, the real charm of this store, as I mentioned at the beginning, is that you can choose souvenirs while enjoying a drink at "THE BAR."!

At the start of the trip, I can enjoy a drink myself while choosing souvenirs for my loved ones...♡

So, I immediately went to the bar attached to the store...

 

Don't underestimate them.

 

Wait, is this an airport? Sitting at the counter, it feels just like being in a bar. And bars often have a somewhat intimidating image, don't they? But "THE BAR." is nothing like that; it has an atmosphere where anyone can easily enjoy a drink.

We stock not only Kyushu's finest alcoholic beverages, but also some that are hard to find elsewhere. Our bartenders will prepare recommendations to suit your preferences and mood of the day.

I started with a beer 🍻 for my first drink.

This is definitely what summer is all about. Beer on a hot summer day is the best.

 

I was able to appreciate the refined taste of beer enjoyed at a bar.

This bar offers beer and snack sets, and I ordered the offal set.

 

The offal was delicious!! And the Kumamoto-grown yuzu chili pepper that came with it was also delicious.

This is actually also sold at the "Koreto Kyushu Okinawa" store. I'll buy this as a souvenir as well.

 

For my next drink, I tried a liqueur recommended by the bartender.

I also encountered "Amaretto disaronno" for the first time. Apparently, it's an original cocktail made by mixing it with tea and lemon, resulting in a sweet and refreshing drink.

The subtle aroma and sweetness of almond, combined with the elegant black tea and refreshing lemon, created a wonderful flavor that soothed my tired body. Both the aroma and taste were enjoyable. It was also easy to drink, even for those who don't usually like sweet alcoholic beverages. ✨

 

I was chatting with the bartender and before I knew it, it was time to board my flight. But I had a really fun time.
