Flower exhibition by students of Kumamoto Agricultural High School (June 2022)
Since 2001, Aso Kumamoto Airport has been exhibiting seasonal floral arrangements grown by students from agricultural-related schools in the prefecture.
When you use the airport, why not take a look down at your feet and enjoy the artwork created by high school students from Kumamoto?
In June, we will be displaying works by students from Kumamoto Prefectural Kumamoto Agricultural High School (arrangements of globe amaranth, portulaca, verbena, marigolds, and other plants).
[Comments from Kumamoto Agricultural High School students]
We, the life science class at Kumamoto Agricultural High School, carry out a wide range of practical training throughout the year, such as clothing, cooking, and agriculture, and strive to acquire specialized knowledge and skills every day. The flowers in the planters on display this time were also created with love, using the skills we have acquired in past practical training, and considering the color schemes and flower combinations ourselves. By using colorful flowers, we believe that the planters will be visually enjoyable and bring a smile to the faces of customers coming to Kumamoto Airport.
Please come and see the flowers we have carefully grown, which are as lovely as the portulaca flowers we are exhibiting!
