Every year, various events are held at airports across the country, including here at Aso Kumamoto Airport. We hold a variety of events every year.
It has been decided that the event will be held again this year at Aso Kumamoto Airport on Saturday, September 10th. You can see the back of the airport, which you can't normally see, take aviation classes, and buy various goods. We look forward to welcoming you to the event, which will be packed with exciting events.

Event details (pre-registration event)
1. Early morning runway walk～Let's walk the runway!～
You will be able to greet dawn on the runway as you walk along the runway of Aso Kumamoto Airport, which is normally off-limits to the public.

2. Airport Restricted Area Bus Tour~Let's go see inside the airport, which is usually off-limits~
We will take you on a bus tour of Aso Kumamoto Airport, which is normally off-limits to the public. You will be able to see aircraft departing and arriving up close.

3. Small aircraft apron tour (aircraft and cockpit viewing) & model airplane workshop
In addition to viewing small airplanes and helicopters on the small aircraft apron, let's try making and flying rubber-powered model airplanes!

1. Kumamon Event (Sky Day ver.)
The Kumamon event, which is held regularly every Saturday, was expanded and offered as a "Sky Day Special Event" at the time.

2. Airline Events
There will also be sales of aviation goods from airlines that fly into Aso Kumamoto Airport, as well as photo sessions with pilots and flight attendants in their uniforms.

3. Airport Junk City

5. Solaseed Air GO! forward
Seeing off the Kumamoto-go
April 16, 2026 marks 10 years since the Kumamoto earthquake, and we are operating a special aircraft, the "Go!forward Kumamoto," with our hopes for recovery. However, since the "Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake" occurred again on July 28, we are planning a send-off event on that day, so that we can send off the aircraft together with everyone, carrying our hopes for recovery and reconstruction.

7. Local specialty product sales and other events
At Sorayoka Park on the east side of the passenger terminal, local towns and villages around the airport will be selling local specialties, and there will also be government events (such as detection dog demonstrations by Customs and Animal Quarantine Service).
In addition, there will be a Sojo University flight simulator experience at the Sorayoka Visitor Center.
